Industrial Applications are increasingly utilizing the benefits of RFID compared to existing Barcode applications. RFID can leverage its speed, reliability and reading distance (vs. Barcode line-of-sight reading), connectability to sensors and adjustable / flexible transponder data. Besides closed-loop systems, RFID is facilitated in open and interoperable systems (retail payment, supply chain etc.) by international standardization efforts (Electronic Product Code / EPC standard for high- and ultra high frequency).
Increased process transparency, tracability and security providing more efficiency / productivity and the possibilities of ubiquitous computing and networking are the main RFID drivers within industrial applications. Industrial Applications demand a high degree of customization and flexbility in regards to the application- and enviromental-specific requirements.
ARYGON offers various interfaces (e.g. UART, I2C, USB) and standard / custom RFID module sizes (Core with external antenna, Micro, Mobile Module) inhabiting NFC, low-power and high security features (DES, AES) for off- and online usage. ARYGON readers can be easily integrated (e.g. PC/SC drivers for USB and RS232 interfaces with industrial PC´s and mobile devices) and upgraded to new features.
